Launching a Compelling Proposition for Key Supplier Relationship Management
Objective
We partnered with the Procurement Excellence team to uplift the value received from Imperial’s priority suppliers in support of its challenger strategy — building highly engaged, more meaningful relationships with supplier partners to unlock new opportunities across the value chain.
How We Did It
Working closely with the project lead, we developed a thorough understanding of the strategic requirements before designing the programme’s core features — carefully considering how best to engage suppliers, stimulate action and maximise participation across the initial target group of 30 priority suppliers.
SRM Connect Pillars
Deliverables
The programme introduced six key performance pillars, a governance framework, a scorecard system and an awards ceremony to drive meaningful contributions. These were brought to life through a launch video, a supplier guide and a presentation deck, all cascaded to supplier liaison teams.

Short-Term Outcomes
Supplier contributions across the performance pillars were recognised and celebrated at the SRM Connect Awards, held in Warsaw.

Long-Term Outcomes
Following GCO adoption, SRM Connect continues to embed across procurement activities — onboarding a broader remit of key suppliers to drive further value gains across the pillars, in continued support of Imperial’s challenger strategy.
“I have been working with Melanie at Point Creative to launch a global programme for our business. My brief stated that this was a high-profile launch and the outputs needed to be highly professional; Melanie and the team delivered exactly that.
Melanie worked tirelessly on the deliverables throughout the process. She not only kept the programme on track but also served as a fabulous sounding board bringing my ideas to life and providing inspiring enhancements along the journey.
Thank you so much Melanie and the Point Creative team, I could not have done this without you.”
